The National Certification Authority of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – NCA RK) reminds legal entities that employees can be granted powers to work with applications for obtaining and revoking public key certificates of electronic digital signature (hereinafter – EDS).

The head of a legal entity can grant an employee powers in the NCA RK personal account to approve and reject applications submitted by the organization’s employees for obtaining EDS certificates, as well as to revoke them.

To do this, the employee must obtain EDS certificates using the “Employee with Signing Rights” template, after which the head of the legal entity grants the employee the relevant powers in the NCA RK personal account.

After the powers have been granted, the employee performs the specified actions independently using their own EDS.

📱 When such an employee logs in to the NCA RK personal account, additional verification is also performed directly for the employee: an SMS code is sent to the employee’s phone number registered in the Mobile Citizens Database (MCDB). Alternatively, a verification code from a digital document generated through eGov mobile or mobile applications of second-tier banks can be used.

Thus, to approve applications and revoke employees’ certificates, it is not necessary to log in on behalf of the head of the legal entity or receive an SMS code sent to their phone number.

⚠️ Important!

The NCA RK emphasizes that transferring EDS keys and passwords to them to other persons is prohibited. Each user must log in to the NCA RK personal account and perform actions using their own EDS.

Using the available power delegation functionality allows the necessary powers to be granted to an employee without transferring the EDS keys of the head of the legal entity.
