The National Certification Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as part of the planned transition to the new interstate cryptographic standard GOST 34.10-2015, announces the publication of a preliminary version of KalkanCrypt COM 32-bit for testing by developers of information systems integrated with the NTC of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Also, as part of the rejection of the unclaimed templates “Employee with the right to sign financial documents” and “Employee of the Personnel Department” for the issuance of registration certificates of the NTC RK for legal entities, test keys for these templates are excluded from the developer kit.

The National Certification Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the planned transition to the new interstate cryptographic standard GOST R 34.10-2015, announces the publication of test user keys, root certificates GOST R 34.10-2015 and a preliminary version of KalkanCrypt in Java for testing by developers of information systems integrated with the NC RK.

Also, as part of the optimization of processes and simplification of the procedure for obtaining, storing and using EDS keys, it is planned to abandon the current process of issuing and using two EDS keys for authentication and signing. After rejecting the AUTH_RSA authentication key, individuals and legal entities will be issued one registration certificate /key for signing on the GOST algorithm. In accordance with this, test user keys for testing are released only on the GOST algorithm.

Update for NCALayer

Due to the release of the updated version of NCALayer 1.3, we inform you about the need to reinstall the application to the new version of NCALayer in order to eliminate problems when working in an IC using EDS. The new version of the application is available in the “NCALayer” section at the following link https://pki.gov.kz/ncalayer . In case of problems during installation, we recommend that you read the NCALayer installation guide, which reflects possible problems and their solutions (https://pki.gov.kz/docs/nl_ru /), or contact the technical support of the NCA RK.*

  • Added a new signing certificate for the update file;
  • All modules of the NC RK have been re-signed with a new code signing certificate;
  • Added an option to work with tokens and smart cards in mac OS Big Sur and above;
  • Fixed logging in mac OS.

  • Added the useCrossLAF option to display interface elements in a cross-platform style. Mac OS is enabled by default.

  • Selection of several modules to install in the ”Module Management” window;
  • Added display of the update date of the list of available modules (ncalayer.der) ;

  • Corrected the restart of the application in macOS after installing the modules.

knca_provider_util 0.7.5

  • Fixed encoding of the IssuerSerial value in XAdES;
  • Fixed CMS check in the absence of SignerInfo;
  • Fixed XML validation in the absence of signatures that can be contained in arbitrary tags (XPath).

Obtaining an EDS is sufficient in foreign institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Within the framework of the pilot project, it is possible to obtain EDS through the embassies and consulates of our country.

The pilot project was implemented by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The above-mentioned project will operate in 11 diplomatic missions of the Republic of Kazakhstan located in cities:

– Washington, New York (USA);

– Frankfurt am Main (Germany);

– Prague (Czech Republic);

– Abu Dhabi (UAE);

– Moscow, Saint Petersburg (Russia);

– Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan);

– Seoul (South Korea);

– Istanbul (Turkey).

Non–resident individuals can receive an EDS on the principle of “one window”. Russian Russian) and, if there is an IIN, one of the documents containing the IIN and confirming that this non-resident is registered in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 12, 2007 “On National Registers of identification numbers”. To do this, a foreign citizen must have a passport, a notarized translation of the full name in Kazakh or Russian (except for the cases of providing documents in Russian) and, if there is an IIN, one of the documents containing the IIN and confirming that this non-resident is registered in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 12, 2007 “On National Registers of identification numbers”.;

Non–resident legal entities can also obtain EDS in foreign institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan by pre-registering on the website of the SRC MF and receiving the BIN online.

Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan also have the opportunity to receive EDS at embassies and consulates.
